Gary Mayer
I just heard the unfortunate news of Marcus' passing and I offer my deepest condolences.
Marcus and I met in fall of 1994 when we began work at a store called Incredible Universe. He worked in "the Bazaar" which sold small appliances and I sold video games and software. We instantly hit it off with our love of video games. We were good friends in the mid to late 90s. Here are some fun memories:
- After getting off work, we would sometimes go over to Damon's (restaurant) in Hilliard and watch football with the boys.
- Marcus was a fun guy who liked tabletop games, and would game with a large group of friends at a game store called the Guardtower in the 90s.
- Sometimes, we would go over to Fairweathers after work to have some drinks and flirt with the ladies.
- Marcus was usually the life of the party, and I can specifically remember a New Year's Eve Party where my brother and I drove him home. It is safe to say he slept in very late after that party. LOL
- At work, we looked like brothers wearing purple and teal. We are about the same age, same height, same build.
- In one work meeting, I made a stupid remark and Marcus and I giggled uncontrollably for the rest of the meeting. His sense of humor was legendary.
If you would like to speak with me, I will be happy to share more fond memories. We miss you Marcus!!!!!!
