Wilhelmina "Mieke" Keesler's Obituary
Wilhelmina "Mieke" Keesler passed away peacefully in the arms of her beloved husband, Jim on June 3, 2025. Mieke was born in Amsterdam on October 19, 1933, The Netherlands to the late Pieter Beekman and Emily Kadelka.
Mieke enjoyed traveling to visit family and friends. Her passion was sailing on cruise ships. Together she and James sailed 41 times with Carnival. Number 42 will be a Celebration of her Life aboard the Carnival Panorama with ashes to be spread
at sea at her request in August 2025.
Surviving her are James (Jim), her husband of over 43 years; her brother Manfred (Thea) Beekman, Purmerrend, The Netherlands; sons, Michael McQueen, Oklahoma City OK, Terry (Aimee) McQueen Metropolis, IL, and John McQueen Missouri City, TX; granddaughter, Julie (Joe) McQueen Sommerville, NJ; special sister in law Patty Falank (Jim), Binghamton NY.
Mieke resided in Columbus, Ohio for the past 31 years.
