I literally don't know how to start this.
I have heard over and over again about how sweet, kind, and just an all-around great guy he was. I know this firsthand working with him. It will never get old hearing it.
When I first started working at Wendy's Wayne was not a happy go lucky kind of person. Wayne was a routine guy who didn't like change or surprises. He warmed up to me and the bond between us started. For over a year he called me Annie. I always just went with it, because why not? LOL! It was cute and funny all the time.
Someone corrected him on it and said her name is Andi. He would say Andi every now and then, but he just couldn't shake the name Annie. As a matter of fact, he called me that last week.Inside I really like the name.
He always talked to me about Momma and her baby duckling's. He loved to watch them out in the pond all the time. Wayne also loved reading the newspapers that we would get. He would come up every day and get one. Bryan in Security started collecting the Monday and Friday papers for him since he didn't work those days.
He will be missed so very much by everyone!
I want it to be very clear that the past 2 days have been one of the most horrific days for our Wendy's family although, I am not a Wendy's employee, Rocco you need to please change this ASAP LOL! Everyone has made me feel like I really am.
Me looking back at last week's videos brought back some smiles.
Today in memory of Wayne, I went to Isaac to ask if I could have my name tag changed to Anni Hubbard. I guess we shall see.

Wayne, you will be so very missed. Thank you for reminding me of the importance of pausing and having those hallway conversations, for the genuine check-ins, and for your overall kindness. I will forever remember our chats and the eagerness to show each other the most recent photos of the humans and pups in our lives.

To Wayne’s beautiful and wonderful family, please know that he spoke about each of you with so much love every time I saw him. I feel so grateful to have known him.

First off, I want to say to Wayne’s Dear Family that I ‘m so sorry for your loss of your loved one and I’m so sad and devastated by this very sad news. My fondest memory of Wayne that I will deeply cherish forever in my heart is that it was always a Joy to interact with Wayne around the building at the Wendy’s Corporate Office / Headquarters as I have been working there since 1999. Wayne always did a great job and was always so dedicated to his job and he always got around great and he was always so energetic and he would walk so fast . When I would be at my desk early in the morning, opening my laptop and checking my work schedule and e mails , before starting my day , Wayne would be walking and doing his security checks and he would be walking past my desk and down the hallway and he would say hi and good morning Tommy and that we are rolling through the week and getting closer to Friday and the weekend and we would chuckle and I always enjoyed that and that was so kind of Wayne and I will certainly miss that forever and it’s been very hard and an emptiness here lately and it’s so hard getting used to this. That was so awesome and so kind of Wayne to do that as he made his security check rounds and before I got my morning and day started also walking fast around the Wendy’s Corporate Office Building . It’s just so hard to believe! Wayne will certainly be deeply missed and he will be forever in our hearts but it won’t be the same. I want to say to Wayne’s Family that you all are in my thoughts and my prayers especially at this very difficult time and that he was just a great human and that he will be missed forever. Also I want to say that I’m so grateful, thankful and blessed that I was able to know and cross paths with Wayne! He sure did a lot of greatness with his life’s journey. Wayne walked by my desk every single day, and he said hello every single time - without fail. Despite working with with hundreds of us at Wendy's, he remembered my family and frequently asked about my kids. He was very excited about his ever-growing family, and was eager to share that he had a new grandchild on the way. I'll miss Wayne very much, he was a good man.

I will miss Wayne’s laughter and his dedication to his family. I knew my sister was well taken care of with Wayne next to her. I missed quite a bit of time being away from the family but he loved to share to “shore stories” during his time as a SeaBee when I was able to visit. It pains us to to think that he left us so soon but our hearts are full of the warmest memories of a wonderful man we called our Brother-in-Law. God Bless the Belcher family!

Wayne was a great guy and friend we carried mail together for 30 years had lunch together daily talked sports and family.He was a very good family man who loved his wife and sons and grandchildren he would always keep me up on his family he was also a true patriot we played a lot of golf and softball together always a fun guy to be around will always miss him our wives always called him my work wife God. Bless you my brother.

Worked with Wayne many years at the USPS, and played more rounds of golf, softball, and basketball than I can remember together. We both cheered for our St. Louis Cardinals, and shared a few beers throughout the years...Gonna miss him, but not the memories.
