Ryan Link's Obituary
Ryan (“Sleeves”) Link, 33, of Johnstown Ohio, passed away unexpectedly after a long battle with cancer on February 19th, 2023.
He was fiercely loved, and will be greatly missed by his dedicated wife, Jennifer Link, his son Nathan (Maggie) Link, stepson Tristan Bush, stepdaughter Hailey Bush, parents Gary and Brenda Link, sister Katie (Ross) McConnell, godfather Thomas (Debbie) Link, grandmothers Jackie Cropp and Marcella Link. Many aunts and uncles, and bonus relatives through marriage. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Stanley Cropp and Dennis Link.
Ryan was a graduate of Westerville South High School and had achieved the distinction of Eagle Scout through The Boy Scouts of America, Troop 39. He was a dedicated husband, father, and friend, and was a veteran of the truck driving industry for almost 20 years.
He had a passion for all things outdoors, loved going camping with his wife and children, and was a loyal “ride or die” for any of his close friends. He was employed at SRS Distribution Inc, in Columbus Ohio, and had many co-workers that he considered family as well. Although he battled cancer for over a decade, he never complained, never gave up, and never backed down from the fight. He was a country boy at heart, and held fond memories of baling hay, fishing (regardless of his acknowledged skill set), friendship, and as a “fur parent” to his two cats, Ruger and Beans. He loved chasing waterfalls with his wife and soulmate, and all their adventures together.
Per Ryan’s request, no calling hours or services will be held. In keeping with Ryan’s wishes, a celebration of life will be scheduled by his wife at an appropriate time of her choosing. It was his hope that as he is remembered, fond memories of his epic life would be prominent, and not sorrow over his battles. Ryan lived his life large and wanted his farewell to be just as large. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to Hospice of Central Ohio in Ryan’s name, as they were instrumental in Ryan’s successes and victories at home.
