Richard Odell Enochs' Obituary
Richard Odell Enochs, 83, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on March 24, 2026. Known to family and friends as Dick, he was born on June 23, 1942, in Harts Creek, West Virginia.
Dick proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He went on to build a career with Strawser Paving, where his reputation as a hard worker followed him throughout his life. Those who knew him best will remember a man who gave his all and was always ready to lend a hand to family and friends.
Dick had a genuine love of sports. He was a lifelong Ohio State Buckeyes fan and played slow-pitch softball well into his later years, stepping off the field at the age of 78. His passion for the game reflected the spirit he brought to everything he did.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Enochs; his children, Richard Enochs Jr., April Trout (David), and Rodney Enochs (Jodi); his stepchildren, Matt Stover and Diana Brinser (David); his sister, Caroll Spurlock; his grandchildren, Richard Enochs (Holly), Jessica Enochs, Cortney Dudley (Steven), Jake Enochs, Alex Enochs, Tyler Knapp (Shayla), Stone Knapp, Paige Stover, Chase Stover, Summer Saavedra, and Eddie Roberts; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Enochs and Betty Brown, and his brother, Doug Enochs.
A private Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held in the near future.
