Norman Leonard Clay Jr. December 25, 1958 – February 28, 2026
Norman Leonard Clay Jr., born December 25, 1958, in Dayton, Ohio, passed away February 28, 2026 at 22:43 due to complications of heart surgery.
He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Leonard Clay Sr., his mother, Anita Woodruff Clay, and his brother Darryl Clay. He is survived by his sister Vicky Clay; cousin Pam Allen; and nephews Darryl Clay and Jalen Clay.
He also had an expansive chosen family that included the Burkhardts, Brays, Chambers, DiBaccos, Kenners, Meeks, Merediths, Mullins, Salvatores, Steeles, Winfields, Zadels, and many others.
Norman was a veteran of the United States Navy, a beloved employee of DFAS, and a dear friend to all who met him. He was an enthusiast of his tea from Whitehall Nutrition Lounge and his BMW, and was most passionate about all life, caring for others, and pursuing dreams.
He will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to have known, loved, and cherished him.
A celebration of life will take place on March 21, 2026 from 12 PM – 4 PM at the Whitehall VFW located at 4100 E. Main St., Columbus, OH 43213.
