oh Norm 🥺 I remember one day he came into the lounge and we just talked for about an hour. he had expressed to me how much he loved talking to me bc sometimes he just needed someone to talk to. someone that would listen. I’ll miss listening to you yap and come into the lounge 5 minutes before close lol! we love you Norm.
Norman, you will be missed my friend. I’m thankful that we crossed paths in this life and shared some wonderful moments along the way. Rest well!

So many stories! There was a gentleman who had been hired as a disabled worker. Among his issues was having no understanding of personal space. He tended to spit when he spoke.
A group of us were on the smoke dock after lunch and here he came. Evidently ne had selected tuna casserole. He came in close and began to speak. As he did a little piece of a noodle flew out amd landed on Norma.s wrist. Norman went pale and gritted his teeth but stood right there and allowed the man to finish what he was saying. Much later, when we all met for a break, Normans wrist was red and raw. He had gone to the restroom and scrubbed the living heck out of his wrist haha! BUT he stood right there and let the man complete what he was saying. That was our Norman!
I did share one memory, but there are so many. Norm, you are very loved, and you will live in our hearts...in the hearts of our kids...always and forever! You had so many 'friends' who were family, and that's not gratuitous. You had so much family! Even Whitehall Nutrition Lounge knew what a kind, sweet and giving man you are (not were)! You made a dent, hon! It will not be forgotten.
Oh Norman. One of my favorite memories, out of a LOT of them...as we all know, Norm could talk! One holiday (don't remember which) he was here and we had a 3-D television. He had never seen anything in 3-D but he put those glasses on over his, and we watched a movie. He was mesmerized! Just seeing how amazed he was, was priceless, and he was quiet except for saying 'This is SO COOL!', lol! He will be soooo missed. He touched all of us, deeply!

I cherish the friendship we shared and the many memories we created over the last 20 years! Norm wasn't just a friend, he was family and will be truly missed. Fly high my friend, may heaven welcome you with open arms!
