Lawrence "Larry" A. Kopp, 72 of Westerville passed away peacefully on May 7, 2025.He was born in Lombard, IL to Henry and Lillian Kopp. He later moved with his family to Ridgewood, NJ where he graduated from Ridgewood High School. Read Obituary
Larry and I met at Ben Franklin Junior High School. We were good friends through high school and went off to Tri-State College together. My future wife introduced Larry to her nursing school roommate and kept in touch, with occasional visits, over the years. Our Lord called Larry home and I pray He will comfort Val and their family with the knowledge that Larry will be eternally free from earthly ailments.
Larry was a great neighbor and we shared many conversations over the years when he took his dog for a walk. I’ll miss those chats and I’ll miss Larry. Deepest condolences to his family and friends.
Larry always said I was the sister he never had. His jokes(by text) always made me smile . He fought the battle but it was just too much for him. May he rest in the arms of GOD, and may those same arms surround Val, Aaron and his family and Lisa and her family.
I am so sorry for your loss, Val and family. Val, you and Larry were our first next door neighbors on Lakeshore Drive 51 years ago. We shared a lot of great times….especially playing Risk in your apartment. Larry’s laughter and our friendly collegiate exchanges will always be remembered fondly. May the memories of your years together, always help you smile.
