I first met James in 1998 at The Black Diamond on Beale Street Memphis. Over the years had seen him perform many times. Not only his playing, but his songwriting was deep, emotional, funny and beyond talented. Oh, the stories and stories and stories. My condolences to Beth, and entire family. Much love, Cyndy
I had a chance to see James and band play in Dallas at Deep Ellum just before he went on strike! I think I was the only one that actually went to see them play. The turn out was terrible and I got the table right in front of the stage. James and the rest of the band sat with me just before the show and during breaks and were totally awesome! The Music was great and they were too. They made me feel like I was one of their best friends. It was on accident that I even got to see the show as I was in Dallas and happened to see they were playing that night while I was having lunch. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and the band! Rest In Heaven and Play Loud JS!
