Just Looking back on my childhood and fond memories that I hold onto are the visits with the Johnson family to our home (McElroy family). We were so close as we bonded with Irvin; Marvin and Calvin. Can still remember we found so many things to laugh about! While hanging out in our backyard we took turns telling jokes. Yes even though Irvin was a bit shy for awhile he liked to hum and gradually he tried singing a song or two. And yes sometimes we would play cards after our family shared a meal with his family. But most of all I remember when his family and our family managed to go to the International Convention held in New York City! What a Blessing that I will never forget. I still have the bent picture of us at Coney Island all wearing New York Tee Shirts and white hats. Me: Wanda; my sister we Joann: Irvin and Marvin: another sister etc. Yes we were one BIG family spending eight days at the largest convention ever! and Irvin would comment how he liked working on TV's but needed a break. Speaking of True friends well that's what Irvin and the Johnson family became! With Love.
