Gregory Smith's Obituary
Gregory Smith of Columbus, Ohio passed away on April 23rd , 2026 following an extended illness. Born on March 19, 1956 in Logan, West Virginia but raised in Columbus, Ohio. Greg was a 1974 Graduate of Walnut Ridge High School. He was a retired school bus driver for Licking Heights School District. He found great pride & joy in his work, having had some students on his bus from kindergarten all the way through their senior year. He was very honored when several students had asked him to be the person to hand them their diploma at graduation.
Greg enjoyed spending a sunny afternoon on the golf course, he was a die-hard OSU Buckeyes and Dallas Cowboys fan. What he loved most in life was his late wife Debbie, his grandson Dominik, Step-Daughter Tracy and his dog Gizmo.
Preceded in death by his Loving wife Debbie (Sines) Smith, Brother Daniel Smith and Sister Debbie Smith.
Survived by his parents; Mother Imogene Smith, Father William (Jeanine) Smith, Sister Jill (Scott) Cooper, Step-Daughter Tracy (Terry) Seitzer, Grandson Dominik Seitzer, Sister-in-law Renee Smith, a host of cousins, nieces and nephews and his life long friends Pete Renaut and Richard Ebright.
Per his wishes he will be cremated and there will be no services. Please share any fond memories of Greg with his family here as they will look forward to reading them.
