Buz proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War, where he was a part of Naval Air, dedicating his efforts to ensuring the safety and success of his fellow service members.
In the 1970s, Buz made Columbus his home, where he followed a long family tradition of music. His love for music was evident through his long-time involvement with Vaud Villities, multiple groups, and choruses as well as various barbershop ensembles. His performances brought joy to many, and his passion for music was infectious.

A true sports enthusiast, Buz was a lifelong fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and a diehard supporter of the Cleveland Browns. His love for these teams was well-known, and he could often be found cheering them on with great enthusiasm.
Buz's ambitious spirit led him to start Varsity Pizza in Dublin, Ohio, where he continued to share his love of food and community. Simultaneously, Buz worked for General Motors where he retired after 20 plus years of service.
Buz never met a stranger and was known for his friendly, outgoing nature. He had a remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life, and his presence will be deeply missed by many. His love for his community, his family, and his friends leaves an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
