Eric Paul Azbell's Obituary
Eric Paul Azbell 63 of Columbus and formerly of McConnelsville, passed away 10 October 2022 after a brief battle with an aggressive cancer. He leaves behind his children, Isaac and Jennifer, countless friends and special friend, Nanci. Also surviving are four brothers; Alex Azbell, Dustin (Jennifer) Azbell, Jonathan (Heidi) Azbell, Bart (Tammy) Azbell, a sister, Molly Azbell; all of Mcconnelsville. He was predeceased by his parents, Clifford Azbell and Patricia Price Azbell, brother Greg and sister Holly.
Eric was an accomplished musician and also wrote his own songs. He was a stringed instrument luthier, mechanic, general contractor, welder, landscaper, and excellent chef. He helped anyone that needed it, going out of his way and never complaining.
He was a hard working man of strong work ethics and strong opinions but with a generous heart. Eric was a master of anything he tried and he shared his knowledge freely.
He loved animals, and they loved him, excitedly gathering at his feet when he'd arrive. He was a hunter and fisherman, tying his own flies that fish jumped out of the water to consume. Eric made the world a better place during his short life on earth and the impact of his passing will be felt in the hearts of all that knew and loved him.
A memorial event will be held at a later date.
