I met Eric in June 2021, shortly after my prized Gibson acoustic guitar was knocked off its stand And sustained a major crack in the neck. I was devastated as I thought this guitar would never be played again. Fortuitously I was referred to Eric by Bluegrass music. It was an idea that I discovered how talented and meticulous Eric was as a luthier. Not only did he restore my prized vintage guitar but it was actually better in every way…. Sound, ‘look’, and durability. From my personal experience and from the stories that I have heard or read about Eric my experience was a metaphor of how he lived loved and served others. An encounter with Eric and his personal touch left you “ the better for it”. For that I am grateful.
For those of you who are left with a heavy heart, I pray for the consolation and peace that beyond human understanding.
May the perpetual light shine upon him it may his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed Rest In Peace.

Looking back on my life and the time I spent with dad I am all smiles. I have so many great memories. He was full of life, love and energy. Going to see dad was always an adventure. When we weren’t out and about having a good time we were home and he was entertaining us with his music. I still remember him playing guitar in his band way back when I was only 2-3yrs old. They would always play at Steve and JoAnns and I loved
going there and listening to them. Love Steve n JoAnn. I can’t remember any time growing up that I was with dad and not Steve n JoAnn. They were a package deal and family to me. Dad was a free spirit. He was confident in himself and all that he did. He was honest, opinionated and always right. His arrogance was comical at times but also admirable. Mom said he was a dreamer. He was a dreamer and when he wasn’t working he was chasing his dreams. He chased them clear to the end. I always hoped he would come back home one day. The news of his cancer was shocking. Death followed shortly after and I’m reminded for the second time this year how short our time on earth really is and how important it is to make time to spend with the people who mean the most to us. I loved everything about you dad. I’m going to miss you every day until I see you again.

Eric was truly great at everything he did. Although I had only known Eric for about 3 years, I feel we still had a great friendship. I am truly grateful for the times we spent working on my guitar’s (I am not skilled at all, but I learned so much from him, his patience was astounding). We could also be caught playing music ( with Ronnie of course), and occasionally target practicing bow and arrows out back. You will truly be missed my friend. My condolences go out to the entire family and friends as well.

I had the pleasure of meeting Eric last year after one of my nephews damaged one of my acoustic guitars . When I first called he was instantly warm and friendly and extremely knowledgeable about repairing guitars , gently reassuring me that he could repair it .
When I dropped it off and first met Eric I was impressed with his knowledge and instantly put at ease due to his welcoming and kind nature. He insisted that I stay and listen to him and Dan play which was phenomenal and instantly drew me in .
Since then I have had the distinct honor of calling him my friend and had shared many good times with him . He was genuine , thoughtful , caring , talented and honest .
I feel very fortunate to have had Eric in my life and am better for it .
I will miss him greatly .

I am really saddened by this loss, Eric treated me like a brother and went out of his way a couple times or more. He had something that we all have and keeps us going...day in and day out, and that would be a heart....his heart was so big in all he did and inspired me to try to do the same as him with my music. Keep going is what I'll do in his name. Thank you Eric for being like a big brother. May you rest in peace...we will see you again.
To the family...please accept my deepest condolences to all of you and yours. Eric will be missed.
