Adrian always exudes confidence, no matter what. He taught me how to quit caring about other people's opinions and just be yourself. He taught me how to be brave around strangers.

Adrian left a comfortable lifestyle to tread his own path and discover himself. He left his home for a random college in Ohio where he knew nobody. He met so many friends along the way and touched everybody's lives.

Everybody that met Adrian knew they had a friend for life. You can't forget him and he wouldn't forget you, he was so unique. I will never forget all of the times we spent together after living together for several years and getting to know him. He was a truly unique individual.

My first memory of Adrian was when he taught me how to sip a Bloody Mary at Casa Nueva, in Athens, Ohio. From that day onwards I always squeeze the lemon or lime on the rim of my glass and dare not to mix the acids of the tomato juice with the lemon or lime.

He taught me my favorite wine Chianti. Not just because it tastes good and well balanced from the Tuscan region of Italia. But the history of the Nebbiolo grape, the year of the grape, Chianti vs. Chianti Classico. We’d pour over the wine bible during the pandemic and just enrich ourselves in the history of wine. The first wine he introduced to me was Graves from the French Appalachian and it finally made sense to me after he explained to me it kinda tastes like rocks….

Adrian loved every detail of life. He had the fine sense of a sommelier, the keen sense of a camper in the outdoors mixed with a one of a kind sense of humor and warmth personality. I’ll miss his intense thrill for life, his friends, and his laugh, his story telling, his humor! His smile. I’m just so lucky to have called him my friend.
