William F Kern, III
January 26, 1939 – June 11, 2024
William F Kern III, DDS died peacefully on June 11, 2024 after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Bill was born to William Kern Jr and Mildred Thume on January 26, 1939 and was raised in Upper Arlington, Oh. He graduated from UAHS in 1956 where he was a member of the 1956 State Champion golf team. He attended The Ohio State University undergrad and The Ohio State School of Dentistry where he was a member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity and the Psi Omega dental fraternity. Bill was a member of Upper Arlington Lutheran Church and was active in various ministries and went on several mission trips with the church as well as The Columbus Medical and Dental Society. Bill was an avid golfer, loved photography and watching his grandchildren’s sporting events. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Denise, his children Julie (Jeff) Nini, Bradley (Danielle) Kern, and Stephen (Alicia) Kern and his grandchildren Marissa, Allison and Mitchell Nini, Alexandra, Jacob, Michael, Abigail and Katelyn Kern, his sister Jane (Sam) Cowman and his nieces and nephew. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 18 at The Church at Mill Run, 3500 Mill Run Dr, Hilliard, OH 43026– Visitation from 6pm – 7 pm with a service immediately following.
