Wayne Ray Powers' Obituary
Wayne Ray Powers, age 72, of Whitehall, Ohio, passed away on February 21, 2026. Wayne was born on March 13, 1953, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Homer Ray and Anna Mae Powers.
He retired after 35 years with National Electric Coil. He took great pride in the life he was able to provide for his wife and daughter. In his earlier years, he enjoyed fishing — especially the trips he took with his brother-in-law and nephews nearly every Father’s Day weekend. He loved playing his lottery numbers and scratch-offs, watching court shows, and spending time with family.
Wayne was a simple man with few needs or wants. He always made sure everyone around him was taken care of.
In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Laura Lee Powers; his sister, Christy Ann Holland; grandparents on both sides, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Wayne is survived by his loving daughter, Rachel (Jeremy) Powers-Tate; his cherished grandson, Ian Tate; his brother, Terry (Carm) Powers; his brother-in-law, Robert Holland; two nieces; and several nephews.
