Walter "Walt" N. Morrow's Obituary
Walter N. Morrow “Walt”, age 79, of Johnstown, Ohio passed away on January 5, 2023 from Cancer. God and Family were his first loves. His goal in life was to spread the word of the Lord to as many as possible.
Born September 13, 1943, in Washington PA.to Melvin & Millinda McJunkin Morrow
He is a graduate of Penn State University with a master’s degree in Wood Science and was a member of ROTC.
He was an excellent marksman and a member of the Penn State rifle team, winning many awards.
He served in the US Army Corp of Engineers in Vietnam as a second lieutenant.
As an avid hunter, including big game, he traveled to Africa on several safaris, but loved hunting in his own back yard. He was a long-time member of NRA, SCI and Headhunters.
Walt had an entrepreneurial spirit and was a well-known home builder and remodeler for 45 years throughout the Columbus area. He was a member of the Building Industry Assn. and built homes in their “Parade of Homes”
He will be fondly remembered for his “Walt in the shower” large as life cutout.
He was a man of faith and a devout member of Central College Presbyterian Church, in Westerville, and where he lived most of his life. He was an Elder, Deacon, and a Trustee. He loved his church family deeply. He especially enjoyed his Bible studies, the Sunday services, his work in prison ministry, and his many friends.
Predeceased by Parents Melvin and Millinda; and brother, Charles Morrow.
He is survived by wife of 45 years, Lori (Loretta) Morrow; children, Bradley (Alex) and Katricia (Tom) Green, Teresa (Mike) Crye, Anita (Bob) Perkins, Matthew (Angie) Clegg, Angela (Mike) Carter, and Christina Taylor; grandchildren, Madeline Morrow, Connor & Kylee Green, Katie (Jeff) Cosgrove, Mike (Whitney) Crye, Logan (Shauna) Perkins, Blake (Emily) Perkins, Joey (Samantha) Clegg, Brianna Clegg, Will (Kate) Carter, Michela Carter (Adam) Jack & Nolan Taylor; great grandchildren, Ben, Sarah, & Nate Cosgrove, Olive, Eloise, & Tillie Crye, Matty & Lacy Clegg, Easton & Indie Carter.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Central College Presbyterian Church 975 Sunbury Rd. Westerville OH 43081, on Saturday, January 21, 2023, friends may gather at 10:00A.M. with service to follow at 11:00 A.M., with Pastors, Malcolm Davis and David Redding attending.
