Vernice Fisher Ray's Obituary
Vernice Fisher Ray, Age 97, of Columbus, Ohio died Sunday, August 24th at First Community Village. Preceded in death by husband George and Mother Ada Fisher and sister Juniene (Danny) McNeal.
Survived by daughters Maureen of Seattle, WA; Laura (David Denner) Ray of Bradenton, FL; Amy (John) Wagener of Columbus and son David of Columbus; Grandchildren Matthew, Daniel, Samuel Ray and Jamie Shufflebarger (Tarmo) Kiik; Great Grandchildren Lucas and Adrian and many close friends.
She was a graduate of North High Class of 1945, Retired in 1986 from Ameritech, was a member of St Mark’s Church, Twig #62 of Children’s Hospital and the Telephone Pioneers.
In her retirement years Vernice was a world traveler, avid cook and gardener.
She will be entombed next to Husband George in the columbarium at St John’s Episcopal Church at 700 North High, Worthington, Ohio.
