Troy Jay Adkins Jr.'s Obituary
Troy Jay Adkins Jr., born on May 20, 1957, in Portsmouth, Ohio, passed away on February 24, 2024, in Orient, Ohio. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Shari Adkins, son Troy Adkins III, daughter Elizabeth Winterhoff, grandsons Levi Adkins and Isaac Wright, daughter-in-law Brooke Adkins, and son-in-law Christopher Winterhoff.
Troy served in the Army and Air Force Reserves. Throughout his career, he was owner and founder at J&P Paving and Complete Restoration Services. Troy never hung up his hardhat, working long hours making sure projects stayed on track. His hobbies included thoroughbred horse racing, sailing at Lake Erie, a love for classic cars, attending concerts, and spending quality time with his family. Troy always put his family first and enjoyed time with his kids and wife. Most of that time was spent working on the Adkins family farm and sporting events.
Troy was also survived by his mother Shirley Adkins. Sister, Connie Bauman. Brothers, Paul Adkins and Craig Adkins. He was preceded in death by his father Troy Adkins Sr; brother Benjamin Adkins; and son Patrick Adkins.
Troy will be remembered for his dedication to his country, his successful career, and his passion for life and family. A celebration of Troy's life will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Big Darby’s Ravine in Orient, Ohio at 2:00 pm.
