Tori Erin Close's Obituary
Tori Erin Close
June 6, 1997 - November 7, 2023
Our daughter was received by God on November 7, 2023. She leaves a huge emptiness in the hearts of all of us who loved her.
Tori was born in Columbus, Ohio at the Ohio State University. She is forever a Buckeye! She was a huge fan of Ohio State Football. She was a 2015 North Union High School Graduate located in Richwood, Ohio. She leaves behind a sweet, caring, loving and always wanting to help son, Kingston, who is 5 years old. Her mom, Kathleen Cherry and stepdad Mike Cherry. Father, Dale Close and a half-brother, Kyle (Diamond) Close, from Georgia, a Grandpa, Duncan Myford and her extended Cherry Family that accepted her like their own and loved her just as she was. Along with Aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews and some actual friends.
Tori was a very caring person and always wanted to help people. She was well liked wherever she went or worked. She was always proud to know that Mom was proud of her. At 20, she became a wonderful Mom who couldn't believe she could love someone the way that she loved her son, Kingston. She took great care of herself and had the perfect baby boy. Tori was a very hard worker and was strong-willed. She was also a person that just wanted to be hugged from time to time and told that things will work out.
Tori was also a huge dog lover, she volunteered at the Union County Humane Society when she was 14 years old along with her Mom. She had several dogs while growing up, Spunky, Hannah, Whiplash, Thunder, Lily, Molly, Brutus and Deo, whom she adored all of them. Tori was also her Mom's one and only and will never be forgotten.
We will not say Goodbye for now to our beautiful and amazing daughter, we say Good night and sweet dreams.
Tori's celebration of Life will be held at Bun's Restaurant (where she last worked) on December 2, 2023 from 7-9pm. All family and friends are invited. Tori and her Mom always said "at our funerals we want happy thoughts and we don't want people wearing black, we want HAPPY colors", if you would please wear those happy colors for her.
