I grew up in Fairplane Michigan with the Keegstra Family. Jane and Dorothy Joe were in my grade school class at Fairplane NW and I knew both Jane and Dorothy well. Dr. Keegstra used to have us over for Indian Guides meetings (like the Boy Scouts). Our first dog was a present from the Keegstra family and my father was the family dentist until about 1975. I moved from Berrien County in 1980 but still stay in contact with old friends
and was astonished to hear that Tim had died after fighting Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM).
I did not know Tim very well but just wanted to say the Keegstra family was wonderful when were growing up in the 1960’s and 1970’s. They were a lot of fun, very good people, who were highly respected and loved by everyone who knew them. Tim and Dorothy Jo will be sorely missed.

I was one of the last people to become a friend of Tim’s and even in such a short time he (and his family) opened their heart to me and I will never forget him.

Tim always made me smile and had a way of staying positive and being a true friend.
I will never forget how many endless episodes of NCIS we watched and how many times he would have to explain to me who was who.
I will miss you my friend.

I met Tim when I worked at Student Affairs at OSU. He and I worked tangentially as his numbers rolled up to me. I reached out one day as I was miserable in my situation in Finance at SA…he took that and ran.

A couple weeks later he took me aside and asked if I would like to come to work for him in Campus Dining in a new role he created for me. I gladly accepted and from that day forward he became my mentor and my friend. He was a giant of a man in my eyes and one of three people in all my life who I look up to, respected, admired, and called friend.

Although I just met Tim after his daughter moved beside me, it was easy to tell he was a good man! Caring, thoughtful, funny and a great dad to his kids! He will be missed. Rest easy Tim.

Tim was always available to help in caring for his aging parents, although he lived in another state. Upon his numerous visits to Michigan, I would cook up some of his favorite meals. He enjoyed clam linguine and my lentil soup recipes. He shared his baked bean recipe with me.
He also loved Lake Michigan and enjoyed taking photos.
He loved to joke and laugh and my fondest memories are him laughing loudly, even through some difficult times.
