Thomas Friedman's Obituary
Thomas Friedman passed away peacefully on July 25, 2025. Born in New York City on July 20, 1953, he spent his formative years there before moving to Rochester and Loon Lake, New York, where he lived for 30 years. He later moved to Florida and finally settled in Dublin, Ohio.
He was a dedicated restauranteur for many years, notably as a part owner of the Rochester Club Restaurant. He was known for his passion for animals, water sports, and golf, and the love he had for his dogs Peaches and Charley.
He is survived by his brother, Paul Friedman, sister-in-law Susan, niece Joanna , great nieces and nephews, his loving partner Ellen Stevens, and his special friend, Christopher Rizzo, who was like a son to him. His humor, generosity, and ability to put a smile on anyone’s face will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Information about the scattering of ashes on Loon Lake will be provided at a later date.
