Thalia Karen Freeman's Obituary
Thalia Karen Freeman, 75, of Columbus, OH passed away peacefully in her home following a lengthy illness on November 16, 2023. She was born March 13, 1948, a daughter of Harry F. and Margaret R. Stein of Roslyn, PA. Thalia is survived by two sisters, Margaret Hoyer and Cheryl St. George, a daughter Jennifer Krysmalski (Ryan), grandchildren Joseph Janton III (Sheena), Rebecca Wireman, Stephanie Ertle-Allem, Emily Ertle and five great-grandchildren. Thalia is also survived by many nieces and nephews, of whom she had fond memories.
Thalia was a 1966 graduate of Abington High School in Abington, PA after which she moved to Savannah, GA where she attended nursing school and was employed at Candler Memorial Hospital. After returning to Pennsylvania, Thalia worked in the electronics industry, retiring in 2012 and moving to Columbus, OH to be near her daughter.
After retirement, Thalia had the pleasure of pursuing her varied interests and hobbies in needlecrafts, drawing, reading and equestrian. Thalia loved horses and enjoyed road trips to Ohio Amish Country as often as she could.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation or to the American Cancer Society. At this time, a Celebration of Life is being planned in the New Year.
