Terry and I met in grade school and were classmates and good friends through graduation from "Nerk" High School in 1971. Although we attended different universities and I subsequently moved to Texas, Terry extended his hand of friendship through the many years since. Cory was born a year after my daughter; whenever my family and I travelled to central Ohio, Terry would graciously welcome our dropping in for a visit. We continued to exchange emails and social media postings until this year.
Terry excelled at being human. I especially remember his wit, his intelligence (a National Merit Scholar), his skill at playing euchre during lunch, and his sensitivity. He took great pleasure in performing music in the NHS Concert Choir with Mrs. Vaia, and, in his second career, appreciating and sharing music through his vinyl record business. He cherished Pam and was dotty about their grandchildren.
You have run the good race, dear friend, and I'll see you someday across the river of life.
