Terry was his family's strong shield, always working hard to support and protect them. He was a gentle giant. His kindness and compassion for people and his community was obvious. His outgoing personality and sense of humor attracted friends everywhere he went. The man simply did not know a stranger. He genuinely enjoyed life and loved spending time with family and friends. He especially loved when that time involved playing cards or going to watch a game. You could often find Terry on the sidelines cheering and coaching (even though he stopped coaching decades ago). It didn’t even matter what sport he was watching or if he even knew any of the kids playing, he just loved sports. Terry had a way of quickly becoming like family to all, and was fondly referred to as Papa Terry by many of the kids in the Warrior community.
