Susann Powell's Obituary
With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for her life, we announce the passing of Susann Powell, a remarkable woman whose kindness, strength, and unwavering compassion touched countless lives. She passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025 surrounded by love.
Susann lived a life centered on service, faith, and the belief that no one should walk their hardest paths alone. As a dedicated member of the Hilliard Church of Christ, she offered a steady hand, a listening ear, and a quiet, genuine love that made everyone feel seen and valued. Whether she was helping with church bereavement needs, assisting with baptisms, leading Bible study, or offering comfort to someone in crisis, she made her faith real through the way she lived.
Her impact was equally profound in the AA recovery community. Having walked her own road with courage and honesty, she became a beacon of hope for so many.
With over 50 years of sobriety, she shared her story with humility, and celebrated every milestone — big or small — as if it were her own. May we honor her memory by living the way Susann did — happy, joyous, and free.
She leaves behind a wide community of family, friends, church family, and members of the recovery community whose lives are forever better because they knew her.
