Stephen "Steve" Miller's Obituary
Stephen “Steve” Miller, born November 5, 1946, died July 13, 2026.
For those who have not had the privilege of knowing Steve, he spent his life serving others. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era before dedicating more than 40 years to serving his community as a firefighter, paramedic and police officer before "retiring" to become a real estate agent. But beyond his career, Steve will be remembered most for the life he built with his family. He was a caring husband, a proud father of three daughters, an animal lover—especially when it came to his cats—and someone who enjoyed life's simple comforts: a good cup of coffee, a glass of Jack Daniels (but don’t even think about adding water or coke to it ), a game of Solitaire and rarely missing an opportunity to dress in a sharp suit and tie. Those who knew him knew a man whose life was defined by service, commitment, and love for the people around him.
He is survived by Lisa, his wife of 40 years, daughters Brittany, Maureen (Anthony), and Melissa (Steven), and four grandsons: Lincoln, Grayson, Parker and Oliver, his brother Tom (Jane) and his bonus children Erik and Tabi Staalner.
