Ruth A. Andrews' Obituary
It is with profound sadness that I share the news of the passing of our beloved Ruth A. Andrews, age 80, of Columbus, Ohio. Arlene, who passed away peacefully on July 22, 2025, will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Born in Vinton, Virginia, to the late Mary and Robert Andrews, Ruth’s life was a testament to kindness, compassion, and unwavering dedication to others. Her gentle spirit touched countless lives. As a registered nurse, she devoted her professional career to caring for the sick and vulnerable, a commitment she continued long after retirement through her selfless volunteer work at her church's food bank. Ruth's tireless efforts ensured that those less fortunate had access to nutritious meals and vital support. She found immense joy in serving her community and enriching the lives of those around her.
Arlene’s family was the center of her world. She showered her children, Tonya Taylor and Carl Taylor, with unconditional love and affection, always placing their well-being above her own. This love extended to her grandchildren, Kierston Bush, Nevaeh Taylor, and Zion Taylor, and her great-grandchild, Kelsey Coleman, who will cherish the countless memories made with their beloved grandmother. Her legacy of love and generosity will continue to inspire generations to come.
Arlene was proceeded by her late sister Vonnie. She was survived by her siblings, Catherine, Sarah, Rachel, Robert Jr., Rolanda, Raymond, and Ramar, and numerous nieces and nephews. Her warm presence and unwavering love will be sorely missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. May her memory be a blessing.
