Russell Jack Seel, born in Chicago on March 21, 1938, passed away peacefully in Columbus on August 10, 2024. He is survived by his sister Judy Thompson, his sons Jarrod (Ronda) Seel and Shane (Tracie) Seel, his grandchildren Zachary, Hunter, Gabrielle, Cullen, Kolton, Corbin, and Madison, and his great-grandchild Braxton. He was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Mary Seel, his beloved wife Louise “Hope” Seel, and his stepson Harry Scott Burkitt.
Russ was a pioneering entrepreneur in the computer industry, specifically focusing on long-term care. His innovative spirit and dedication to his work left a lasting impact on the industry. Beyond his professional achievements, Russ was a generous philanthropist, supporting the Church and numerous charities worldwide. His passion for spreading faith led him to become a published author, sharing his life journey with God through his writings.
Russ’s legacy of kindness, faith, and innovation will be cherished by all who knew him. The family has decided to hold a private memorial service to honor his memory.
