In Loving MemoryLeRoy “Roy” Robert (Carson) RiniRoy, 69, passed away on December 15, 2021 in Columbus, Ohio surrounded by his family. Roy was born in Brooklyn, New York on October 29, 1952. Roy is predeceased by his father, William Rini, his mother Eileen Malverty, his brother Dennis Carson, and his sister Cheryl McGreevy. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Carol (Hartung) Rini; his sister Donna (McGreevy) and Peter Mortensen, sister Debra (Carson) Bernhardt and Warren Zimmerman, and brother Christian and Ginetta “Gina” (Faretta) Anderson; his children Karen (Carson) Parker, Roy and Keri (Bodt) Rini, William and Adriene (Auckerman) Hartung, James Frye, William and Melody (At) Rini, Luca and Carina (Garcia) Rini, Stacey (Frye) and Charles Leddy, and Arjay and Consuelo (Munoz) Rini; and by his 21 grandchildren Thomas Parker, Joseph “Joey” Parker, Kimberly Parker, Roy Rini, Jaydlynn Auckerman, Jacob Auckerman, Juliene Thompson, JoLynn Thompson, Jami Hartung, Jace Hartung, Jaxon Hartung, Lilly Rini, Lorenzo Rini, Leonardo Rini, Jade Rini, Luca Rini, Makana Hoopii-Miller, Ziva Hoopii-Miller, Cayden Rini, Grayson Rini, and Kieran Rini.Roy was a part of the Delta Gamma Rho Fraternity in high school. He joined both the United States Army and the Army National Guard, served for a total amount of 19 years, and achieved the rank of Specialist. After his military service, Roy worked for Aamco Transmissions for over 20 years rebuilding transmissions. He was a dedicated family man that worked hard to take care of his entire family and helped anyone that needed it. Outside of work, Roy would spend time with his children, loved watching the History channel, making and telling jokes, and riding his Harley motorcycle. He will be missed by his family and friends.There will be a private Celebration of Life held by the family at their convenience.
