Richard Lynn Bolenbaugh's Obituary
Richard Lynn Bolenbaugh, 73, of Grover Hill, Ohio, passed away on March 14, 2026.
Born on December 20, 1952, in Paulding, Ohio, Rick was the son of Charles “Jack” Bolenbaugh and Dorthy (Simpson). Rick lived his life with a quiet strength that spoke volumes. Though he was a man of few words, the ones he spoke carried weight, comfort, and meaning for everyone fortunate enough to know him.
On July 11, 1972, Rick married Bonnie Jean Deckard, and together they built a family rooted in love, loyalty, and resilience. He was the devoted father of Sandra Sakr and Candi (Brandon) Edwards, and the cherished grandfather of Maliyah Bolenbaugh, Drayton Bolenbaugh, Mohammed Sakr, Braydon Edwards, and Caydon Edwards. He is also survived by his sister, Fredia Harshman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles “Jack” Bolenbaugh and Dorthy Bolenbaugh (Simpson).
Rick centered his life around loved ones, being the steady male figure they could rely on — the one who showed up, and helped without hesitation. He loved the quiet peace of being out on the riverbank with a fishing pole in hand, or behind the table saw being Jeannie's personal woodworker. He will be missed beyond words. In honor of a life well lived we will be having a Celebration of Life held on March 28, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Grover Hill Lions Club, located on South Main Street, Grover Hill, Ohio 45849.
