Ramona C. Grunewald's Obituary
Ramona C. Grunewald, 73, of New Albany, Ohio, formerly of Petal, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2024, at Our Home Assisted Living Community. Ramona was preceded in death by her parents Geneva (Boutwell) Munn, RC Garner, and her brother Donald Garner. She is survived by her children, Melissa Dyer and Stephen Myers; her son-in-law, Steve; her three grandchildren, Joanna, Leo, and Max; her sisters, Glenda (Jim) Pendergest of Decatur, MS, and Joyce Broom of Griffin, GA, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. Ramona was a beloved mother, grandmother (Mimi), sister, and friend who filled the lives of those around her with joy, warmth, and love.
Ramona had a successful career as a director of training and development, and later as a professional services consultant where she found joy in helping others grow and succeed. In her personal life, her true passion was her family. She cherished every moment spent with her sisters, her mother, and her grandchildren. Her love extended to her children, and her son-in-law, with whom she shared a close bond.
Ramona had a gift for crafting and created special memories by making festive foods and decorations for family events. Her touch made holidays like Christmas, Halloween, birthdays, and other celebrations unforgettable and magical. She will be remembered for her generous spirit, creative talents, and dedication to bringing her family together.
An open-house-style celebration of Ramona’s life will be held on November 23, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Johnstown Presbyterian Church, 81 South Main Street, Johnstown, Ohio. Her family invites all who loved her to join in honoring her life, and the beautiful memories she leaves behind. Ramona’s legacy of love, creativity, and family devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
