Percy Lee Bowling lll was 71 years old, passed away on May 4, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio, at OSU Wexner Medical Center.
Percy was born on September 6, 1954, in Maywood, Cook, Illinois, to Percy Lee Bowling Jr. and Mary Ella Hamilton.
Percy enjoyed life and believed in working very hard. He worked for the Private Vehicle Transportation Services for Columbus City Schools in Columbus, Ohio. He is best known for his stunning smile, the cool way he walked, and his unique personality.
He was a very private person but loved his family. He loved cars and listening to music. His favorite R&B artist was Anita Baker
Percy is survived by his daughters Nikkia Jones
Perssan (Smith) Fleshman (Ernest),Kiana (Cook) Meade (Trevor) and grandchildren Alil Hatter, Kya Moore, Jakye Moore, Brittany Fleshman, Dallas Fleshman Asheonia Smith, Righteous Fleshman and Rajni Fleshman. Kameron, Kristopher, Karter, Zane, Lincoln, and Chandler Meade. His siblings Victoria (Dennis Richey Sr) Bowling, Cora Lee Darby
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Charles Bowling, granddaughter Quayaira Fleshman, stepmother, Elmeanor James, sister, Tabitha (Larry) Jones, brother-in-law, Willie Darby, nieces, Tawanna Bowling and Lynn Bethea.
Memorial Service will be held at Ebenezer COGIC 601 Bidwell Ave, Fremont, OH 43420 on May 16, 2026 at 12:00 pm
