In Loving Memory of Nora Hughes
Nora Hughes, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 5, 2026.
Nora is now reunited with her husband, Robert "Bob" Hughes. Together, Nora and Bob shared a deep love for the outdoors. They spent years camping, exploring parks, and traveling to the beach, where Nora loved hunting for lighthouses and watching the ocean. She was happiest spending time at the river fishing, playing cards with her family and friends, and indulging her lifelong love for giraffes, especially spending hours glued to the live stream waiting for internet-famous "April the Giraffe" to finally have her baby. Closer to home, she was rarely seen without her beloved dog, Molly, and her cherished cat, Lilly, who were her constant companions.
Above all, Nora was entirely devoted to her family. Her five boys were her proudest achievement, and she took immense joy in watching her family grow through the generations.

Nora is survived by her five sons and their families:

Ronald Jr. Adkins
Brandon Adkins (Stephanie)
Jeremy Adkins (Jessica)
Joshua Adkins
She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Layna Adkins, and her great-grandson, Elias Rayne Adkins. Her memory will be carried on by her surviving grandchildren:
Samantha Damron, Todd Damron, Brett Damron, Michael Adkins, Alissa Adkins, Taden Adkins, Tyler Vest, Levi Lewis, Austin Adkins, Katlyn Murray, Gage Adkins, Cashton Adkins, Kaleena Adkins, Cameron Blevins, and Brice Blevins.
Nora was also blessed with 5 surviving great-grandchildren.
