I will always remember the intensity with which Nick operated with life. I worked with him for many years at The Ohio State University Libraries. He contributed weil to the mission of the Libraries. He will be missed. Best wishes, Prof. Graham R. Walden.
Nick and I worked together at The Ohio State University Libraries for decades. Many a morning he would buy a brownie or cookie on the way to work, split it in half and put half of it on my desk so it would be there when I came in. We loved going to lunch together at the Chocolate Cafe. Nick was passionate about politics and was always up on the news and was pretty accurate at predicting elections. There are so many memories of Nick, sadly fewer fun memories after his first stroke. I will always remember Nick and the better times.
Nick was one of my favorite people to transport at Wesley Glen. He was always nice and treated me like a daughter. I took him to a lot of his doctor appointments and stayed with him until he was ready to go back to Wesley Glen. I always took him back to his room and he would give me a York Peppermint Patty.
It has been a real privilege get to know Nick as part of our community at Wesley Glen, and many of us are grieving his loss. His faithful friendship and presence are deeply missed. Just a week before his death, he was comforting friends at our Annual Memorial Service.
Many good memories from the college days of our youth including summer jobs on the OSU work crew, frosty lemon paint, and lots of pizza and Hostess cupcakes. Wish we could float on old innertubes down the Licking River again.
All of my memories with Nick. He was my best friend for 45 years. He was a part of our family and will be miss by all.
