Nancy (Johnson) Newcome, 71, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away surrounded by family on July 23, 2026.
Nancy Newcome, daughter of Joseph and Grace Johnson, was born and raised in Akron then lived the majority of her life in Marysville, Ohio. She went on to work at Rich Products Corporation as a Quality Assurance Technician until her retirement.
Nancy will be remembered for the love she gave so freely to her family, who were always the center of her world. She was an avid reader, loved to travel, and cherished spending time shopping with her sisters. She had a special love for animals, especially cats and manatees.
Nancy is survived by her son and his wife, Ben and Trisha Newcome; two grandchildren, Riley and Alex; three siblings, Carol Finn, Mary Dover, and Rick Johnson; five nieces and nephews, Chris Finn, Jessie Johnson, Tara DeFrancesco (Santo DeFrancesco), Elyse Dover, Larissa Dover and her great niece Stella. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Grace Johnson, and her nephews, Jamie Johnson and Sean Finn.
A celebration of life will be held on a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Save the Manatee Organization, Save the Manatee Club.
