Mary Cambert's Obituary
Mary Lou Tavolario-Cambert, 86 of Columbus Ohio, passed away July 24, 2022. Mary Lou was born on December 24th, 1935 in Youngstown, OH to Vincent and Mary (Bassetti) Tavolario. Known to be a hard worker throughout her life, she graduated with Honors from East High School and went on to graduate as a Registered Nurse from the Youngstown Hospital Association School of Nursing. Later, after the birth of her four children she attended The University of Cincinnati were she studied to become a Certified Pediatric Associate. Later on, she became a Remote Certified Nurse Case Manager, where you could hear her talk to her patients just like she was talking to a family member. “Now honey, this medication should be taken four times a day with lots of water.“ She retired at the age of 75. Her neighbors were often rewarded with her “neighborhood favorite” pasta sauce.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband Donald Cambert Sr., who passed away in September 2010 and her sister Joanne Smaldino. She leaves behind her children; Anthony V. Cambert with his children A.J., Jamie and Carly Cambert. Linda M Hatfield (husband Carl) their children Nick Hatfield (wife Andi and their daughters Teagan and Aspen). Gina Prestifilippo (husband Adam and their son Luca) Donald Cambert Jr. (wife Dawn) and their children; Danielle Bosworth (husband Dan and their children Evelyn and Theo) and Damon; Laura M Smith (husband Richard) and their daughter Lynsi (with her children; Landon and Olivia.) Four children, 8 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren. Mary Lou also leaves behind her brothers Dr. James S.Tavolario (wife Mary Ann) and Vincent A Tavolario (wife Jean) as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a devoted mother, grandmother who loved everyone in her life dearly.
A burial, mass, and a celebration of life luncheon will be held in Poland, Ohio in September 2022.
