She taught first grade for several years in West Alexander, PA before teaching missionary children in Trinidad and Tobago. Miller, changed the direction of her life and she became a pastor’s wife instead. Later, she did return to substitute teaching in numerous school districts in Ohio and Illinois where she and Pastor Miller served the Lord.

Marty was a servant of the Lord whose life radiated His love and joy. Serving in many capacities in the church from leading VBS, teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir, and working diligently on behalf of missions; she was a tremendous help in all the churches where her husband pastored. Marty’s infectious smile was a great blessing to her church families. Her family looks forward to the day when we will all join her in gathering around the Throne of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and praise Him for His Salvation.
Over the years, Marty enjoyed many different activities. She learned how to quilt and spent time fellowshipping with others who enjoyed making beautiful quilts. She loved to take long walks, especially with George. She even joined the women’s bowling team while in Zanesville, OH. Before having to return to Ohio for health reasons, Marty and George enjoyed retirement in South Carolina and a great church family at First Baptist Church, Clover, SC, where they are still members.
