Marsha Sprinkle's Obituary
”A great beginning is sometimes at the point of what you thought would be the end of everything.” – Dubinsky
And so it was with Mom. What was meant for evil, God used for good.
Marsha Kay Sprinkle transitioned peacefully on December 30, 2020 at home, in the loving care of her daughters. After her cancer diagnosis a couple of years ago, Marsha spent every day with her daughters sharing many laughs and re-runs of all her favorite shows (the theme songs of The Golden Girls and The Andy Griffith show will forever be in our heads LOL). Despite the diagnosis, she was not defined by it. God showed such grace and mercy and she did not suffer. Her daughters, son in law, and grandsons made sure she always felt loved, safe, comforted, calm and cared for.
Marsha was a quick witted, funny soul who never ceased to amaze and surprise and kept us laughing. When asked how she was doing, she would often reply “Just Peachy!” She enjoyed her many years working at OSU East Medical Center and the friendships she made there. Although a private person, she truly cared about people and never hesitated to give to those in need. She was courageous throughout her life. She taught us what courage, tenacity and gracefulness looks like. Memories of her provide a comforting hug. We are honoring her wishes for a cremation with no ceremony. She would say that to honor her memory is to take care of one another.
Fly high beautiful butterfly, you deserve rest, and know that our love is with you and you will never be alone.
