Lisa Marie Geitgey's Obituary
Lisa Marie Geitgey (Fouche), 56, of Plain City passed away on 12/28/22 after a sixteen month battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Boston, MA but lived in the Central Ohio area for most of her life. In 1994 she married her husband, Rodney (Rod) Geitgey and together they owned and operated Amish Country Furnishings in Dublin. Lisa attended Bowling Green State University and graduated from Grove City High School. She is survived by her husband Rod Geitgey of Plain City, daughters Delaney Geitgey (husband Corey Maddox) of Sandy Springs, GA and Mackenley Geitgey of Northfield, OH. She is also survived by her mother, Kathleen Dorcy of Hilliard, and her father, Daniel Fouche of Lexington, MA as well as sisters Carla Howison of Hilliard and Suzanne Fouche of Columbus. Additionally, she is survived by her nephew Paul Eckelberry of Columbus and her niece Katie Eckelberry of Hilliard. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Catherine Dorcy of Columbus. Lisa was a beautiful soul, both inside and out, with radiant blue eyes and a 1000-watt smile that lit up every room she walked into. She loved nature, being on the water, live music and being with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter and friend and she made all who loved her better off for having had her in their lives. A memorial service will be held Sunday January 29 at 2 pm, in the sanctuary at First Community Church - North Campus, 3777 Dublin Rd, Columbus, OH 43221. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, any memorial donations be made to benefit the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN).
