Linda Jean Collins' Obituary
Linda Jean Collins, 77, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2025. She was born on May 1, 1948, in Huntington, West Virginia, to the late Gilbert and Mary Collins. She was the granddaughter of the late Clyde and Anna Dobey and the late Dewey and Sarah Collins.
Linda graduated from Huntington High School and she later attended Marshall University, where she studied Art, a passion that she enjoyed throughout her life. A woman of deep faith, Linda accepted Christ at an early age and was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church. Where she served faithfully as a Sunday School teacher and touched countless lives through her work.
She is survived by her three children: Sacheen Davis Garrison, Rommel Davis (Carla), and Lisha Davis Perdue. She was the proud grandmother of seven grandchildren: Mya Garrison, Cameron Garrison, Carter Garrison, Donovan Davis, Jonathan Davis, Lexington Perdue, and Hartley Perdue, all of whom brought her tremendous joy.
Linda is also survived by her two brothers, Gilbert William Collins of Birmingham, AL and Troy Victor Collins (Barb) of South Point, OH, as well as her nieces: Tashauna Russell (Jerry), Precious Porter (Bobby), and Whitney Collins; nephews: Kasime Collins (Tyara) and Aydden Collins. In addition to her family, she leaves behind many loved ones and friends who will miss her dearly.
A private memorial service will be held by the family on Friday, December 5th, at Spring Hill Cemetery in Huntington, West Virginia.
