Les Fowler's Obituary
Les Fowler, age 90, of Columbus Ohio, passed peacefully Monday morning February 28th in the early am at Riverside Hospital of Columbus, Ohio with family members by his side. Les was born May 2,1931 in Fort Wayne Indiana to Rohland and Alvina Fowler, who proceeded him in death as did his wife Edna Wannemacher and brother Roger Fowler. He is survived by his children, Michael (Lynette), Kevin (Diana) and Bruce (Lisa) Fowler, Debi Thompson, Judy (Larry) Hammons and Jane (Jim) Collis as well as his sister Sally Nolt and brother Wilbur Fowler. He had 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Les was a 1950 graduate of New Haven High School, Indiana. He served in the Army of the United States during the Korean War. Les lived in Fort Wayne Indiana for 40 years before moving to Payne Ohio for 40 years, lastly moving to Columbus Ohio, always to be closer to family members and where he met his lady friend Doris Rich. He retired from Rea Magnet Wire in Fort Wayne Indiana. He had a major hobby involving HO model trains taking up his largest bedroom of his apartment. There will be a Memorial Service for Les on Saturday March 12th at Gates Fourth United Methodist Church, 119 E. Gates Street, Columbus Ohio, 43207 starting at 1:00 pm.
