Experiencing the pain of having lost one of my best friends, I can only imagine the sorrow you family members must suffer. Even though separated by many miles, Kathy has lived with you every day. I was privileged to participate in the growth and development of her grandchildren through photos and videos and to sense the deep love she had for all of you. I miss Kathy greatly and know that you do too. She was such a warm and supportive person who listened to her relatives’, friends’, students’ and colleagues’ joys and worries and was part of each of their lives. I am grieving with you all and wish you the strength to carry on while keeping Kathy deep in your hearts.
