Judith "Judy" Lorraine Kaple's Obituary
Judith "Judy" Lorraine Kaple, age 76 of Sunbury, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Thursday October 3rd, 2024.
Judy was born in Prospect, Ohio to the late Maurice "Moe" & Dorothy Jean (Clark) Kaple on January 18th, 1948. She was the oldest of seven children. She graduated from Olentangy High School. She worked as a life insurance underwriter and enjoyed working in plant nurseries until she retired.
Judy earned her Master gardener certification and was always tending to flowers, plants and her vegetable garden. Rescuing neglected plants was her specialty.
She loved to spend time with her family and friends. She also adored her dog Maddy. She loved Jesus and He brightly shined through her. She volunteered at the Vineyard Church in Sunbury preparing bulletins and also worked the food pantry. She loved to have a good time and was always ready for a party, game night, soup supper or cards with family and friends. She was the best listener. She will be missed tremendously by
all who love her.
She is survived by her children: Tony (Anissa) Lawson, Sean (Kathy) Lawson and Christa (Richard) Pauley, with whom she resided for the last three years. Grandchildren: Bianca (Riley) Richards, Abigail (Bradyn) Dronsfield, Calvin Lawson, Garrett Pauley, Hannah (Christopher) Hudson, and Skylar (Emily) Lawson. Great Grandchildren: Aria Dronsfield and Kieren Richards. Brothers: Larry (Amy) Kaple, Tommy Kaple and Joe
Kaple, sister Susan (Bob) Geiger, brother in law Jerry Lett, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her brother David Kaple and Sister Laura Lett.
A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday October 26th, 2024 at 3:30pm at Kingston Township Town Hall at 4063 Carters Corner Rd, Sunbury, OH 43074. All are welcome to attend to share memories and dinner together to honor a woman loved so dearly.
In Lieu of flowers or trees, Judy would have wanted donations to be made to a local humane society.
