Joyce Mae DeFilippo's Obituary
Joyce Mae DeFilippo, age 82, of Yorkville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 16, 2018 at the OhioHealth Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio. Joyce was born on July 23, 1936 in Yorkville, Ohio to the late Joseph and Mary Grace Provenzano. Joyce worked for many years as a Medical Transcriptionist. She then became a computer operator for The Village of Yorkville until she retired in 2013. She loved spending time with her family and watching sports. She was an avid Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, and Ohio State fan. She will be remembered for being a loving and caring person who always put others’ needs before her own. She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, John DeFilippo, Sr. She is survived by her children, Charles DeFilippo, John (Lisa) DeFilippo, Doug (Melissa) DeFilippo, and Rebecca (Grant) Allen; grandchildren, Lauren (Nate) King, Erica DeFilippo, Zachary DeFilippo, Anna DeFilippo, John Luke DeFilippo, Anthony DeFilippo, Dominic DeFilippo, Jacob DeFilippo, Elise DeFilippo, Landon Allen, Makenna Allen and Ellery Mae Allen; sister, Ann D’Andrea; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. A private family service will be held in her memory on Friday, November 23, 2018. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in Joyce’s memory.
