Uncle Joe was the name he went by most for the 30 nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Joe leaves an extended family of friends in North Carolina that have wrapped their loving arms around him from the day he stepped into their world, providing love and support through the many challenges of being a heart transplant recipient. Joe received this precious gift of life in 2020 and we are eternally grateful for each breath that extended his life.
Joe worked in Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel until his retirement and after that he found his passion for being an over the road Owner-Operator for 30 years. Joe loved sports, playing ball for many years, bowling like a champion, and hustling pool everywhere he went. Joe was passionate about cars, especially antique cars and trucks, always searching for the next one he would make his own.
Joe has been prayed through many challenges and God answered them all, even this one, that he would not linger or suffer; Joe passed quickly and did not linger. Joe has won the race and is at peace in the arms of his Savior.
Joe will be cremated and laid to rest in Steubenville, Ohio. At the request of the family, there will be no services.
