John M. Trobee's Obituary
John Marker Trobee passed away on August 21, 2025. John will be remembered as a man who met challenges in life with resilience including his multiple illnesses that led to his death. A warrior at heart, John was a man who believed in family first.
He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War and was on the submarine USS Puffer SSN-652 from 1970 to 1974, an accomplishment he was proud of — one that exemplified his commitment to country.
John is survived by his wife, Cheri; sister Melody; brother-in-law John; niece Madison and nephew John John; stepsons Jonathan and Timothy; best friends Catherine and Lisa and cat Jazzy.
John loved life — loved travel and experiencing new adventures. He viewed obstacles as tests of fortitude.
“Ain’t nothing but a thing,” he would often proclaim to his wife, who believes that his passing is yet another adventure for John — one of enlightenment and perhaps a trip through space and time, the greatest adventure of all.
