John Neace's Obituary
John Neace, age 90, of London, Ohio, entered into God's Kingdom on January 12, 2024. He was born on January 19, 1933 in Yerkes, Kentucky to Mack & Opsie Neace. He is survived by his daughter, Vickie (Greg) O'Brien. He was known as Peepaw by his grandchildren; Joe, Kevin, T.J. (Kassy), Amanda (Jerry), Erica, Jason (Tiffany), and Rachel; nine great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; sons, Kim and Timmy; sister, Elvira; brothers, Buster, Will, and Cecil; nephew, Monroe.
He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War. He married his former wife, Rebecca, in 1953. He retired from General Motors in Dayton, Ohio.
He was a man of simple taste. He enjoyed playing softball, bowling, and coaching baseball for Dayton's Little League. His main focus was providing for and enjoying his family. He loved watching sports. His favorite teams were the Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Reds, Kentucky Wildcats, and the Los Angeles Lakers. He also enjoyed playing euchre -- he was the "euchre king"!
His passing will leave a gap in the hearts of his loved ones and he will be missed dearly (until we see him again)!
There will be a celebration of his life on his birthday, January 19, 2024 at his favorite pizza restaurant, Marion’s, 404 West National Road, Englewood, OH at 6pm.
