John Lambert Herold's Obituary
John Lambert Herold, 82, of Columbus, OH, passed away on August 26, 2025 at Pickerington, OH. He was born on April 13, 1943 in Toledo, OH to Leola and Lambert Herold.
John attended Ladyfield grade school and St. Francis DeSales High School where he played football and basketball. Then went on to Kent State for one year and then attended the University of Toledo, and worked for Sears as Manager of the vehicle repair section. Was transferred to Zanesville, OH and then to Columbus with Sears. He went on to Chapman Ford as a Credit Manager. He was an avid Pool player and played in several tournaments including several in Las Vegas where he enjoyed playing. He also loved keeping his yard in immaculate condition. And he was also a huge The Ohio State Buckeyes fan.
He was preceded in death by his mother Leola Herold, Father Lambert J. Herold M.D. and is survived by his sister Margert Strick, his son Mark Herold, daughter Nicole Pawlowski. He also leaves behind his first wife Camielle Herold, his granddaughter Kennedy Pawlowski, Grandson Drew Pawlowski, his niece Michelle Burson and nephew Joseph Bodnar, great niece Emma Burson, great uncle to Kyra Burson, great great uncle to Greyson Mayne, great uncle to Braeden Bodnar and Mali Bodnar, his second wife Janet McCafferty Herold, three step daughters Jodi Sauer, Cindy Murphy, and Lori Hart, and stepson Brian Worboy.
A remembrance service was held at Courtyard By Marriott in Columbus, OH. on August 31, 2025 at 2pm to 5pm.
